Missouri S&T to be closed Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to weather

Due to extreme wind chill conditions expected overnight and in the morning, the Missouri S&T campus will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 16. Classes will not be held. Employees who are considered situationally critical should report to work.

Dining operations in the Havener Center, Thomas Jefferson Hall and Au Bon Pain will be open on Tuesday during regular business hours. The S&T Store is open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday. University Police will remain open 24/7 as usual.

Missouri S&T’s grounds crew have been working to ensure the campus parking lots and sidewalks are clear. However, the National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory from 6 p.m. Monday (Jan. 15) through noon Tuesday, and because of this forecast, classes are canceled and the campus will be closed.

All students and employees should take precautions when going outside during these conditions. See these winter weather tips for more information and guidance.
