Emerson Hall will remain closed until further notice, following a fire on the roof of the structure on Thursday, Dec. 8. University officials decided to keep the building closed following a thorough inspection of the building today, Friday, Dec. 9.
Final examinations previously scheduled at Emerson Hall on Dec. 12 have been relocated. Get details of room changes on the registrar’s website. Officials will determine if lab finals, scheduled in Emerson on Tuesday, Dec. 13, will be moved. Updates will be posted on alert.mst.edu.
Parking Lot L-5, near Emerson Hall, will be closed until further notice to allow cleaning crews to access the building. In the meantime, please park in Lot L-35, located across the street. For more information, please contact parking lot operations at 341-4303.
Computers and office space are available in Butler-Carlton Hall for electrical and computer engineering employees displaced from Emerson Hall. To borrow a laptop, contact the IT Help Desk at 341-4357 (HELP) or drop by the IT Help Desk’s walk-in center on the first floor of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library. Borrowed laptops must be picked up at the walk-in center.
